Autism Evaluations:
I offer affirming, strengths-based autism assessments for individuals of all ages, with a particular interest in school age children, girls and non-binary people, and undiagnosed teens and young adults. Evaluations are done in person and include a focus on developmental history, social and academic history and lived experiences, and then follow up direct assessments and questionnaires from those who know the client well. For young children, this process includes a play-based assessment.
ADHD, Learning, and Neuropsychological Testing:
I provide assessment for children and teens who experience difficulty with focus, attention, memory, executive functioning, cognition, and learning. Families often want to know if their child could benefit from educational accommodations or direct services. They also often want to know how to best support, communicate, and understand their child. This testing process is conducted in person with the clients and includes comprehensive interview of the nature of the referral questions, collateral information when applicable from teachers or other providers, and direct assessment with the client. A comprehensive report will be provided with individualized recommendations. I can also be available to attend school IEP meetings to share recommendations. If you are looking for answers, contact me to see if learning and neuropsychological testing is appropriate for your concerns.
Diagnostic Evaluations for Mental Health Concerns:
I provide comprehensive evaluations for diagnostic clarity for children and teens with complex history of mental health concerns. Sometimes families have completed multiple evaluations or have seen multiple providers or been given several diagnoses and are confused. There can also be issues with difficulty making progress in school or in treatment. I can help by determining a data-driven diagnostic profile and conceptualization and then provide individualized recommendations for interventions.
Individualized Educational Evaluations:
Sometimes families find that they do not agree with school district's evaluation or plans for direct instruction or accommodation. In this case, families can request that a school district pay for an individualized educational evaluation using a provider of their choice. In this case, I contract with school districts to complete a comprehensive evaluation that includes review of previous testing, school-based observation, collateral interviews when necessary with instructional staff, and face-to-face academic, cognitive, behavioral and social assessments. The findings and individualized recommendations are shared with the family and educational team. I am also available to continue consultation to the educational team as needed for any help with implementation of the recommendations.
